Air freight express

Aviation Sans Frontières Belgium manages the mobilisation, packaging and airfreighting of medicines within hours after a disaster through a partnership with International Health Partners (IHP).

This NGO ensures the availability of medical kits that will be used by medical NGOs, operational in the disaster area, pre-selected by IHP.

IHP centralises donations of medicines and medical equipment from large pharmaceutical companies and repackages them into kits for treatment (with several types of medicines).

For every euro you donate, 10 euros worth of medicines are made available to the victims of a disaster.

This rapid response mechanism to disasters has been activated in the following situations, for example :

• Air freight of medicines from the IHP Foundation for the NGO ANERA for the care of victims of the explosion at the port of Beirut in LEBANON, 2020.
• Air freight of medicines from the IHP Foundation for the NGO ANERA for the care of victims of the bombings in PALESTINE, 2021.
• Air freight of medicines from the IHP Foundation for the NGO MERCY CORPS for the care of victims of the war in Tigray in ETHIOPIA, 2021.
• Air freight of medicines from the IHP foundation for the NGO TERRE in HAITI, 2021.
• Air freight of medicines from the IHP foundation for the NGO PROJECT HOPE, in the context of the war in Ukraine in 2022.
