Loraine rubin – aerial operations project

Loraine, 30 years old, professional pilot for 2 years. I flew parachutists in a Cessna 182 and 206 in France and in the West Indies. Also in a Cessna Caravan C208 in France and in Senegal before joining Aviation without Borders in the spring of 2022.

After a second mission in Bangui in Central Africa, I’m in the DRC in Bunia for my second volunteer mission for ASF.

Being a pilot at ASF allows me to participate in onsite activities and to help the most disadvantaged people. Seeing the smiles on faces when the aircraft door is opened on landing, shows to what extent the plane is expected at each stop. It’s exciting and enriching from the human and aeronautical point of view
