Julie Linchant – aerial environment support project

Bio-Engineer graduate from the Agro Bio-Tech Gembloux Faculty and ULM 3-axis pilot. Julie participated in the March-April 2022 aerial inventory of the fauna of the National Comoé Park in the Ivory Coast.

In Abengourou, Ivory Coast, on 21 September, this year, Julie presented the Ivory Coast Office of Parks and Reserve and its partners, with the results of the inventory done with onboard observers, and preliminary results of a photographic inventory done at the same time.

This photographic inventory is part of a research programme by the Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech Faculty.

It is based on the use of artificial intelligence to automatically trace animals and poachers on the photos.
