Change of presidency of aviation without borders Belgium
The change of presidency of ‘Aviation sans Frontières’, Belgium, between Philippe Dehennin and David Haub took place on 30/09/2020. The pandemic prohibited officialisation of this event.
This event, therefore, officially took place on a sunny Friday, the 30th September, 2022, at the Central Africa Museum in Tervuren. Many friends of ASF were present, as well as colleagues from Orly, and in particular, Gerald SIMILOVSKI, one of the three founding fathers of the Aviation without Borders movement in 1980 in France.
Manager of the company, immersed in aviation in the bush during his childhood, Philippe was the president of the Board of Directors of ‘Aviation Sans Frontières’ Belgium from 09/05/1994 to 30/09/2020.
‘Dear Friends, because of my need to leave the ground, aviation cradled my childhood, was ever present in my youth and inhabited my life as a light-aircraft pilot. ASF accompanied many of my dreams…and my sleepless nights. David allowed me to land in 2020. I am on the ground, a carrier of awakened dreams.
Airline pilot for about 25 years, part of ASF from the beginning of his career through courrier services at the time at City Bird, his first employer, David was a flight instructor for private pilots and for flying acrobatics for many years. He put his experience at the service of our association during two missions on site as pilot in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and in Chad. David is the new president of the Board of Directors of ‘Aviation sans Frontières’ Belgium as from 30 September 2020.
